Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a slow, atmospheric adventure. There's no combat to speak of; instead you explore a hand-drawn forest, light lanterns to open paths, and piece together what happened there through notes and small puzzles. It's the kind of game you play with the sound on.

The pacing is deliberate, which won't be for everyone. But the puzzles are logical, the world map fills in satisfyingly, and there are no timers or pressure. We finished it over a few relaxed evenings.

If you want something calm to end the day with, this is a lovely pick. Just don't expect a challenge that fights back.
